Thoughts about Clarice

I’m glad I never listen to people and always do and think what the hell I want.

Especially with readings.

I often heard things like Hannibal is shit because he rapes Clarice while she is unconscious!

No, Hannibal is shit for many reasons but not for that. I don’t know why you have to find one more, he is already shit as he is, don’t twist the book to make a point.

I mean, if you are on a mission from God to convince people not to read Harris’ books, at least don’t use something that it’s not there.

Anyway…

Reading Harris’ books

When I started joining fandoms I did it for the obvious reasons, ship a pairing, but also for something else.

I understood that with Wei Kreuz.

If you don’t know it, it’s an anime about two groups of killers. Eight guys, four “good” and four “bad”. Very poorly summarized.

Anyway, in my opinion this anime sucks. The plot is hilarious (and it doesn’t mean to be) and the graphic is not very good.

I used to make fun of this as I do with Hannibal, writing about the weird things that happened in the episodes; but the difference was that back then I was serious, in a way, because the problems were real, now my humor is just out of love and I make fun of the show inventing things, not because they are really there.

Well, all that changes if you start reading fanfictions about Wei Kreuz.

The characters are amazing. There are so many possibilities because fans brought to light all those tiny things that in the anime were just hints. The characters’ psychology has been delineated by fan writers. If you don’t know what it is I suggest you to check it out. Even if the anime makes you laugh, you will not be disappointed by the characters, they are great.

And here comes my idea about Hannibal.

Hannibal in the books is not a great character. Not at all.

It’s still better than the others around him, I’m experiencing difficulties to find someone I really like among all of them, but Hannibal is really not that charming.

So, it came Hopkins and gave him life. That was when Hannibal Lecter really started to live.

And that wasn’t enough.
